Description
Homemade pistachio butter is easy to make with just one ingredient—pistachios. It’s rich, creamy, and vibrantly green, perfect for toast, baking, or gifting.
Ingredients
3 cups pistachios, raw and shelled
1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
1. Roast the shelled pistachios in the oven at 325ºF (165ºC fan) for 10 minutes, turning them halfway.
2. Let them cool completely (about 10 minutes). Optionally, remove the skins.
3. Transfer roasted pistachios to a blender or food processor and blend until smooth and creamy.
4. Scrape down sides and pause occasionally to prevent overheating.
5. Once the desired consistency is reached, add salt and blend to combine.
6. Transfer pistachio butter to a jar and store.
Notes
Yield: About 1.5 cups of pistachio butter.
Storage: 2 weeks at room temperature or up to a month refrigerated.
Blending time affects texture—longer blending = smoother butter.
