Description

A quick and filling smoothie that combines coffee, banana, and dates for a deliciously creamy breakfast treat.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup black coffee, cooled (or cold brewed)
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk, chilled
  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • 1 banana, peeled (fresh or frozen)
  • 3 Medjool dates, seeded
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds (optional)
  • ½ tsp pure vanilla extract
  • Large handful of ice cubes (5-6)

Instructions

  1. Place all the ingredients in a high powered blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Start with the coffee and almond milk, then add the banana, dates, oats, chia seeds, vanilla, and ice.
  3. Taste and adjust according to preferences, adding more milk or dates as desired.
  4. Pour immediately into tall glasses and enjoy for the creamiest texture.

Notes

For best results, use cold brewed coffee and frozen banana. This smoothie can also be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
